Sami is a Cornish Designer and Sea-lover, currently living in South London. After 6 years designing for leading brands, Sami founded sustainable, unisex clothing brand Sami-K to challenge the way we buy, wear and value clothing.

Sami’s passion for ethical and sustainable design is reflected in her work, where every aspect is very carefully considered to ensure the outcome is a truly worthy, conscious product. Her interests in sustainability forms clear values and a unique brand direction.

A love of fun, playful, unisex design for both Grown-ups and Kids has focused a niche line of everyday clothing that is adaptable, using premium fabrics with a high attention to detail.

Sami draws influence from travel, design and living in the moment, responding to the positive energy of her suppliers, customers and collaborators.

“Reducing our environmental impact and producing positively with our partners from plant to product is our main focus. We are confident and proud that our organic fabrics are sourced from small family and community run businesses and production will remain here in the UK, supporting local manufacturing.”

As an obsessive creator, maker and daydreamer, in her spare time Sami enjoys travelling in her van (Agnes- her second home on wheels) so that she can feed her hunger to explore and be inspired further. The Sami-K journey has also re-kindled her love of illustration and painting!

The Collection 1.jpg

Fabrics and components are sourced here in the UK from small family-run suppliers. Our organic fabric supplier works alongside another small family-run business in Kerala, India to produce our hand-woven fabrics. The mill is GOT’s certified and their artisan fabrics are produced in small quantities, ensuring the highest quality with minimal waste.

We aim to consciously reduce our carbon footprint and support our local industries where we can by keeping all manufacturing local, here in Britain.

Our first collection focuses on classic non-seasonal unisex pieces that are adaptable and keep up with our busy day-to-day.

Following on from our Core collection we have built upon the range using the small amount of inevitable fabric offcuts. These are our Limited Products and 50% of their profits are donated to towards the preservation of our local woodland and coastline ~ of which all the best memories are made!

We pledge to assist in the world's best plan to build a better world for people and our planet by 2030! Sami K aims to support goals 11 and 12 of the United Nations Sustainable Development plan wherever possible.

United Nations ~ Sustainable Development Goals

11 ~ Sustainable cities & communities

12 ~ Responsible consumption & production

Some of the ways we support these goals include:

~ Rejecting the multi-season fashion calendar and only releasing new lines as and when they are needed, and can be done sustainably.

~ Remaining open and transparent about our suppliers, ensuring they share our ethos and ethics.

~ Offering skilled jobs and fair wages to local people. Our clothes are handmade in London!

~ Supporting education and transparency around issues in the fashion industry.

We understand that our commitment doesn't stop here and ensuring sustainability and ethics is a key element of our brand DNA and we will constantly look for ways to improve!
