Your focus has been on preparing for birth—now comes the postpartum period, the fourth trimester.

What comes next?

As a postpartum doula, I help protect this sacred time in a culture that pressures new mothers to “bounce back.” It doesn’t have to be this way.

My holistic approach offers consistent, traditional, physical, and emotional care, supporting you as you transition into motherhood.
Through steady guidance and advocacy, I hold space for you and your family so you can focus on what matters most—for you and your newborn.

Closing ceremonies, often referred to as Closing the Bones, are nurturing postpartum rituals with roots in South American traditions. I have been trained to offer this ceremony with cultural respect, thoughtfully adapting it to both my own lineage and your unique background.

Although this ceremony is traditionally held at the end of the first 40 days postpartum, it can be hugely beneficial at any stage of a mothers journey where cleansing and new energy is needed. This ceremony supports physical, emotional and spiritual recovery, marking the completion of a significant life chapter. It can therefor honour other transitions, such as closing an emotional chapter or entering menopause.

Ceremonies last 2-3 hours and may include an herbal bath, gentle massage with infused oils and salts, and a closing wrap, all held in a safe, nurturing space with soft music, guided meditation and yoga Nidra to encourage relaxation and realignment.

Each ritual takes place in the comfort of your home, one-to-one or with a small circle of trusted women, offering grounding, restoration, and deep honour for your journey.

Being held, nourished, and supported after birth is not a luxury - it is your birthright.

Postnatal doula care creates the space for deep healing, intuitive parenting, and meaningful bonding with your newborn, at a pace that honours your body, emotions, and baby.

TRAINING & CERTIFICATION

“Sami offered such loving care leading up to the birth of our first child and in the weeks afterwards. After having an unexpected cesarean, she became a safe space to talk about the birth and supported me with advice and guidance on how to care for myself, providing an array of homemade, natural oils and bath salts to aid each stage of my postpartum recovery. She nourished us with delicious homemade meals that were not only grounded in ingredients to support my healing and breastfeeding journey, but energised both me and my husband before nights of broken sleep.

Sami’s calm presence was incredible in the weeks after the birth. Her practice is intentional, warm & gentle, and we loved how she focused on the wellbeing of us as a family. We couldn’t recommend her more!”
